Being part of a group can have lots of benefits. It can make you feel safer and being part of a group can be really positive. But what is the difference between a group of friends and a gang? Everyone likes to have friends that they can trust and rely on. But what if those friends put us in danger?
Sometimes, being part of a group means that others will get us to do things that we don't want to do or that we know is wrong.
If you're with a group of people whose main aim is to be involved with criminal activity, then you've got to ask yourself a few questions:

Think of positive groups to join – sports clubs, other hobbies and interests, surround yourself with people who are going to help you reach your goals in life.
