An image of the bullies from Abigails story

Anybody can be bullied and you don't necessarily have to be at school and a young person for it to affect you. It's how you learn to deal with a bully that is key to not letting them control or ruin your life.

We all have to work together to stop bullying.

If you are being bullied remember it's not you who is in the wrong. No one deserves to be bullied. You must do something about it and you must tell someone straight away.

  • Tell a teacher, friend, parent or police officer/Police Community Support Officer (PCSO).
  • Keep a record of what's happening, where and when.
  • Keep any emails or texts you have been sent.
  • Ask your parents or carers to visit school and explain to your teachers how it's affecting you.
  • Try and keep to safe areas in school or on the way home. Ask your friends to look out for you and stay in a group.
